Ziauddin University laid the foundation of the ‘College of Physical Therapy’ (ZCPT) in 1999, initially offering a four-year BS in Physical Therapy with the aim of providing quality education and producing clinically competent physical therapists who meet international standards. With consistent development in the field, Ziauddin College of Physical Therapy, under the umbrella of the Faculty of Allied Health Sciences, offers five-year graduate (DPT), postgraduate-MPhil, and doctoral-level programmes in Physical Therapy. To meet the demands of the time, ZCPT also provides degree upgrade programmes and various diplomas for continuous professional development. The proud alumni of ZCPT, actively contributing to major healthcare facilities globally, serve as a testament to the quality education and training provided by the university.
Ziauddin College of Physical Therapy (ZCPT)
With the ever-evolving lifestyle and technological advancements, there emerged a necessity for a department not only dedicated to providing healthcare services but also committed to generating qualified physical therapists who serve humanity. Ziauddin College of Physical Therapy (ZCPT) exemplifies this dedication and commitment.
Since our establishment in 1999, ZCPT has remained steadfast in providing exceptional education in the field of Physical Therapy. Our journey began with offering a four-year Bachelor’s programme, and we take pride in being the first institute in Pakistan to introduce the Master’s in Physical Therapy programme in 2000. ZCPT also takes a provincial lead in offering PhD in Physical Therapy since 2011.
Aligned with our chancellor’s vision and the growing demand for high-quality healthcare education, ZCPT has expanded its reach to multiple locations, including North, Clifton, and Education City, Link Road. This expansion ensures accessibility and convenience for students across various areas.
Over the years, we have witnessed the graduation of approximately 1000 students across different programmes, including 38 postgraduates, with 03 awarding their PhDs. These achievements reflect our commitment to excellence in education and the dedication of our faculty and students.
I extend my warmest welcome to all prospective students, faculty members, and partners who wish to join us on our journey of shaping the future of physical therapy education together.
Warm regards,

Ziauddin University’s College of Physical Therapy hosted the “Future Leaders” workshop on December 3, 2024, at our Clifton Campus and December 4, 2024, at the North Campus. This engaging event provided a platform for our faculty to delve into human rights, community development, and sustainable change.
The workshop, led by internationally certified trainers Ms. Sana Mehmood and Ms. Iqra Salahuddin, focused on equipping faculty members with the tools to address challenges in low socioeconomic communities. The session aimed to inspire action by promoting the use of AI tools to propose innovative solutions for community health issues.
The event featured interactive activities like the “Bingo Match” and “Quick Draw,” designed to foster networking, collaboration, and mindfulness. A key highlight was the “Community Growth Blueprint” project, where faculty members collaborated to develop practical proposals for community development. These proposals were presented and evaluated based on creativity, impact, and feasibility.
