The Faculty of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences at Ziauddin University is dedicated to excellence in pharmaceutical education, research, and clinical practice. Recognised as one of the leading institutions in Karachi, the faculty comprises the College of Pharmacy, which includes five specialised departments: Pharmacy Practice, Pharmaceutics, Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Pharmacology, and Pharmacognosy, alongside the College of Pharmaceutical Sciences, which houses the Department of Cosmetic Sciences.
Pharmacy plays a crucial role in modern healthcare, and our faculty ensures that graduates are highly competent, professionally trained, and equipped to meet the demands of the pharmaceutical industry and clinical practice. Our programmes cover key areas such as drug design, synthesis, manufacturing, quality assurance, regulatory affairs, marketing, procurement, storage, and distribution, preparing students for diverse career opportunities.
Accredited by the Higher Education Commission (HEC) and the Pharmacy Council of Pakistan (PCP), our Pharm.D programme follows an advanced curriculum aligned with international standards. As a member of the International Pharmaceutical Federation (FIP), we emphasise both the pharmaceutical industry and clinical pharmacy, ensuring our graduates are well-prepared for roles in research, development, hospital pharmacy, and public health.
