Ziauddin University established the College of Medical Technology in 1998 with the objective of enhancing the healthcare industry by preparing proficient students. Presently, the college has gained recognition as a leading educational institution.

College of Medical Technology offers 1.5 Year BSMT Foundation studies at Education City, Link Road.

The prime location of Link road provides peaceful learning environment away from busy metropolis life. The tutoring facilities are equipped with state of the art facilities where highly qualified, dedicated and experienced faculty facilitates students’ learning.

Facilities like Library, Jama masjid, Canteen, basketball and open air area serves the purpose for recreational activities while taking care of physical and mental wellbeing of students.

Transportation facility from designated points provides added comfort to students in daily commuting to educational facility.

  • Clinical Laboratory Technologist:
    Conducts various laboratory tests and analyzes samples to aid in the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of diseases.
  • Medical Laboratory Scientist:
    Performs complex laboratory tests across multiple disciplines such as hematology, microbiology, immunology, and clinical chemistry.
  • Clinical Laboratory Scientist:
    Conducts laboratory tests, analyzes results, and ensures the accuracy and reliability of diagnostic data.
  • Laboratory Supervisor/Manager:
    Administers the daily operations of a clinical laboratory, manages staff, ensures compliance with regulations, and maintains quality control procedures.
  • Quality Assurance officer:
    Monitors and assesses the quality of laboratory procedures, equipment, and results to ensure accuracy and reliability.
  • Research Associate:
    Conducts scientific research in clinical or laboratory settings, investigates diseases, develops new testing methodologies, and contributes to medical advancements.
  • Healthcare Informatics Specialist:
    Manages and analyzes healthcare data using information technology systems to improve patient care, outcomes, and operational efficiency.
  • Medical Device Specialist:
    Maintains medical devices and equipment used in diagnostic testing, patient monitoring, and treatment.
  • Healthcare Managers: supervises healthcare facilities, departments, or organizations, managing budgets, operations, regulatory compliance, and strategic planning.
  • Trainer in Clinical Laboratory Science: Teaches and trains students or laboratory staff in clinical laboratory techniques, procedures, and best practices to ensure competency and proficiency in the field.
  • Cardiovascular Technologist:
    Performs diagnostic tests such as ECGs and stress tests to assess heart function.
  • Cath Lab Technologist: Performs angiography and angioplasty procedures.
  • Echocardiography Technologist:
    Conducts echocardiograms to evaluate heart structure and function.
  • Cardiac Electrophysiology Technologist:
    Assist cardiologist during various electrophysiology procedures includes Stress testing, Electrocardiogram, Holter monitoring, Event recorder and pacemaker analysis.
  • Adult Cardiac Perfusionist:
    Operates heart-lung machines during adult cardiac surgery to support circulation and oxygenation of the blood.
  • Pediatric Cardiac Perfusionist:
    Operates heart-lung machines during pediatric cardiac surgery to support circulation and oxygenation of the blood.
  • ECMO Specialist:
    Performs extracorporeal membrane oxygenation procedure to support the diseased lungs
  • Dental Hygienist:
    Provides preventive dental care, including cleanings and oral health education.
  • Dental Laboratory Technologist:
    Constructs dental prosthetics, such as crowns and bridges, based on dentist prescriptions.
  • Nuclear Medicine Technologist:
    Administers radioactive drugs and performs imaging scans to diagnose and treat diseases, such as cancer and heart conditions.
  • Bone Densitometry Technologist:
    Perform bone density scans to assess bone mineral density and diagnose osteoporosis and other bone disorders.
  • Neurophysiology Technologist:
    Assist and Perform various tests such as Electroencephalography (EEG), Polysomnography (PSG), Nerve Conduction Studies (NCS), Electromyography (EMG), and Intraoperative Monitoring (IOM).
  • Electroneurodiagnostic Technologist (END):
    Perform diagnostic tests such as EEGs (electroencephalograms), EMGs (electromyograms), and nerve conduction studies to assess the function of the nervous system.
  • Intraoperative Neurophysiological Monitoring (IONM) Technologist:
    Monitor the nervous system’s function during surgeries, helping to prevent damage to critical structures and ensure patient safety.
  • Sleep Technologist /Polysomnography Technologist:
    Conduct sleep studies (Polysomnography) to diagnose sleep disorders and evaluate brain activity, respiratory function, and other physiological parameters during sleep.
  • Radiation Therapist:
    Administers radiation treatments to cancer patients under the direction of radiation oncologists.
  • Radiologic Technologist / Radiographer:
    Performs diagnostic imaging procedures such as X-rays, CT scans, and MRI scans to aid in disease diagnosis and treatment planning.
  • Fluoroscopy Technologist:
    Operate fluoroscopic equipment to produce real-time images of internal organs and structures during medical procedures such as barium studies and angiography.
  • Mammography Technologist:
    Specialize in performing mammograms to screen for breast cancer and assist in the diagnosis of breast abnormalities.
  • Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) Technologist:
    Specialize in operating MRI scanners to produce detailed images of organs and tissues using magnetic fields and radio waves.
  • Computerized Tomographic (CT) Technologist:
    Perform and assist Computerized Tomography equipment to scan specific areas of internal organs and tissues.
  • Interventional Radiologic Technologist:
    Assist radiologists in performing minimally invasive procedures such as angioplasty, embolization, and biopsy under imaging guidance.
