College of Human Nutrition & Dietetics
The College of Human Nutrition and Dietetics at Ziauddin University aims to provide quality education in undergraduate and postgraduate programmes, transforming students into internationally competent professionals. The department was established in 2020 and now has grown and evolved to become a full-fledged college. Notably, the College of Human Nutrition and Dietetics at Ziauddin University is the only institute in Karachi offering MS & Ph.D. programmes in the discipline of Human Nutrition & Dietetics.
To serve as a Centre of Excellence (Institute) for Education and Research for High-Quality Human Nutrition Care in Pakistan and Low-Income Countries.
To establish internationally comparable education programmes in Human Nutrition and Dietetics, supported by research for evidence-based solutions. Collaborate with industry for nutrition promoting products/services and engage stakeholders for projects promoting healthy lifestyles.

On Wednesday, 23rd April, an educational visit was organized by the College of Human Nutrition and Dietetics for 3rd-year BS HND students to Dar-ul-Sukoon.
The visit provided a meaningful opportunity for students to engage with individuals with special needs and witness the critical role of nutrition, care, and emotional support in long-term residential settings. It was an inspiring experience that reinforced the importance of empathy and professional responsibility in the field of nutrition and dietetics.

“The College of Human Nutrition and Dietetics organized an insightful educational visit for final-year students to the Pakistan International Airlines Food Service Facility, on Tuesday 22nd April. This visit aimed to bridge theoretical knowledge with practical exposure in the field of institutional food service management.
During the tour, students observed various aspects of the facility’s operations, including large-scale meal planning, food production, quality control, and logistics management. The visit also provided valuable insights into the application of food safety standards, inventory systems, and the challenges of catering to a high-volume clientele.
This hands-on experience not only enriched students’ understanding of food service systems but also highlighted the crucial role of dietitians and nutrition professionals at a commercial level.

The Students’ Council of the College of Human Nutrition and Dietetics, Ziauddin University, organised a thrilling Winter Wonderland Bonanza on 27th January at the Link Road Campus. The event saw enthusiastic participation from students across various colleges and departments.
Highlights of the Event
- Food and Shopping Stalls: Savouring delicious treats and shopping for unique items contributed to the festive atmosphere.
- Assorted Games: Engaging games, including PS5 competitions, and various activities kept the participants entertained throughout the day.
- Scavenger Hunt: The main attraction, with 13 competing teams, tested participants’ problem-solving skills and teamwork. The winning team was awarded a cash prize.
The Winter Wonderland Bonanza fostered a sense of community among students from different colleges and departments.
