MPhil in Rehabilitation Sciences

The journey of the postgraduate programme at Ziauddin College of Physical Therapy was started in the year 2000 with the aim of uplifting health care services. ZCPT’s MPhil in Rehabilitation Sciences addresses the expanding healthcare market demand for specialized rehabilitation professionals. Graduates will be strategically positioned to fulfil emerging sector requirements in clinical practice, assistive technology development, and telerehabilitation services. The program’s evidence-based curriculum aligns with industry standards for advanced therapeutic interventions and cost-effective rehabilitation outcomes. ZCPT graduates demonstrate versatility across diverse professional domains including academia, clinical leadership, research institutions, and healthcare policy development. The program will established the foundation for doctoral advancement and specialized practice development in emerging rehabilitation disciplines.
Mission of Postgraduate Programme
To advance knowledge and expertise in the field of rehabilitation sciences through high-quality education, innovative research, and community engagement, aiming to produce competent professionals who contribute meaningfully to improving functional outcomes and quality of life in diverse populations.
Objectives of Programme

Graduates of the MPhil in Rehabilitation Sciences programme will be able to:

  1. Apply advanced knowledge, diagnostic skills, and evidence-based rehabilitative practices to enhance patient-centred care and improve functional outcomes in diverse populations.
  2. Conduct high-quality research that contributes to the advancement of rehabilitation sciences, fostering innovative practices, technologies, and policies that address contemporary healthcare challenges.
  3. Demonstrate professionalism, ethical conduct, and collaborative skills by working effectively within interdisciplinary teams across academic, clinical, and community settings.
  4. Engage in initiatives that enhance accessibility, inclusivity, and sustainability in rehabilitation, contributing to improved quality of life at individual, community, and population levels.
  5. Exhibit proficiency in scientific writing, presentation, and interpersonal communication to share research findings, clinical insights, and rehabilitation strategies with both professional and non-professional audiences.
  6. Advocate for environmentally responsible, culturally sensitive, and socially inclusive approaches in rehabilitation to align with global healthcare sustainability goals. 
  1. At least 16/17 years of education in the relevant discipline, with a minimum CGPA of 2.0/4.00 or 60% marks (in the annual system) from an HEC-recognised institute (preferably the undergraduate degree should be HEC attested or have an HEC Equivalence certificate in case of foreign university education).
  2. Passed NTS GAT (General C)/HAT or equivalent test with 50%, the University GAT (General) test with 50% marks or GRE subject by HEC-authorised testing services. 
  3. An interview with the MPhil Admission committee.
