Faculty Of Nursing & Midwifery

Ziauddin Faculty of Nursing & Midwifery earlier known as School of Nursing was the first academic unit of Ziauddin University established in 1986 and it is recognized by Pakistan Nursing Council. In 2009, the School of Nursing was upgraded to the level of College and becomes Faculty of Nursing & Midwifery in 2020.The department offers various programs at undergraduate and graduate level to students coming from varied ethnic and socio-economic backgrounds of Pakistan. The reputation of Ziauddin Faculty of Nursing and Midwifery has grown nationally and internationally owing to the competency, critical thinking and knowledge of the graduates.

To be a catalyst for advancement of the nursing profession and healthcare system to achieve universal healthcare.

Mission
To strengthen the educational and research mandate for uplifting the Nursing profession and healthcare system by exhibiting effective leadership and collaboration in research, technology, scholarship and innovation.

Never in the history of the nursing profession has there been such an opportunity for nurses to play a key role in transforming health care. These nurses provide care to individuals, families, and communities in virtually all locations in which health care is delivered including hospitals, long-term care facilities, ambulatory care settings, homes, schools, and workplaces. Our profession carries the enormous responsibility of leading reform in health and health care systems, improving health outcomes of patients and their families, and generating and translating knowledge that improves nursing education, nursing leadership, research and nursing practice. In this regard, ZUFONAM is highly committed to meet these challenges and addressing the critical health needs of our population by preparing nurses who have a broad understanding of the profession, public policy, leadership, and health care systems. The overriding strength of our educational programs, research opportunities, and clinical services lies in the talented and dedicated faculty members and researchers at the Faculty of Nursing and Midwifery.
