Panel Discussion
CLLC-Faculty of Liberal Arts and Human Sciences organized a panel discussion on 20 th May 2024 titled Ode to the Leading Women-Challenging gender stereotypes for an inclusive Society. It was an impactful discussion on role of women in the society. The speakers were renowned industry experts Dr. Uzma Shujaat, Ms. Lubna Jera and Ms.Tahera Hasan. It was moderated by FLAHS faculty Ms. Saima Yousuf.
Aga Khan MOU Signing
ZU-CLLC (Ziauddin University – College of Languages, Literature, and Culture) and AKU-IED (Aga Khan University – Institute for Educational Development) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on 12 th September 2024 the agreement established a partnership to foster cooperation in areas of mutual interest, while safeguarding the autonomy of both institutions.
Aga Khan University Blog Writing Workshop
Ziauddin University and Aga Khan University-IED (Institute for Educational Development) successfully implemented a blog writing initiative on 29 th October 2024 as part of their Memorandum of Understanding (MoU). Five talented students from Ziauddin University, accompanied by Ms. Hina Khan and Ms. Moomal Chandio, visited AKU-IED for a collaborative workshop on 29 th October 2024. Under the expert guidance of Ms. Faryaal Khalid from AKU- IED, the students from both institutions engaged in a productive brainstorming session, generating innovative ideas and co-creating engaging content. The outcome of this joint effort will be published on the university website, showcasing the students' creative writing skills to a global audience and fostering a spirit of inter-university collaboration and knowledge sharing.
Panel Discussion: From Classroom to Boardroom: Applying Skills in Industry
On 5 th  November 2024, the College of Languages, Literature and Culture hosted a panel discussion titled “From Classroom to Boardroom: Applying Skills in Industry”. The event featured renowned speakers: Dr. Gul Rukh Askary, Ms. Mahwish Ejaz Karimi, and Ms. Subeika Rizvi, who shared their valuable perspectives on bridging academic knowledge with industry insights. The panelists discussed the importance of communication skills, leadership skills, mentoring, empathy, resilience, and tolerance. Also, the panelists provided students with potential solutions to the existing challenges they face in developing skills during their academic journey.  The session concluded with an engaging Q/A session, inspiring students and faculty to explore the significance of skills development. It was moderated by the CLLC faculty M. Bakhtawar Daudpota.

A panel discussion on the topic The Role of Civil Society as a Medium for Social Change, the
spotlight on the youth of Pakistan was conducted on 19 th September 2024 the agenda was to
prepare the future generation for a better, prosperous and strengthened future of Pakistan, to
evoke the sense of responsibility in the, to use their potential for capacity building and sense of
order in the civil society. The industry experts from diverse fields like Mr. Rizwan Jaffar
Founder and chairman Youth Parliament, Prof Dr. Farhan Abdulla Essa (President Pakistan
US Alumni Network) and Samad Abbas Global Soft skills coach, keynote speaker. were the
esteemed panelists it was moderated by CLLC faculty of English Ms. Saba Tanveer.

Seerat-un-Nabi Conference 2023: A Reflection on Prophetic Teachings
The College of Language, Literature, and Culture at Ziauddin University proudly hosted the Seerat-un-Nabi Conference 2023, centered on the theme “The Trend of Intolerance in Society and Prophetic Teachings.”

This thought-provoking event brought together scholars, educators, and students to explore the timeless wisdom of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) in addressing modern societal challenges. Through inspiring lectures, panel discussions, and cultural expressions, the conference highlighted the importance of values such as empathy, patience, and forgiveness in promoting peace and understanding.

The event underscored the relevance of prophetic teachings in countering intolerance and fostering harmony in today’s diverse world. Participants left inspired to apply these principles in their personal and communal lives, making the event a true beacon of hope and unity.

On 19th September 2024, the Faculty of Liberal Arts and Human Sciences hosted a panel discussion titled “The Role of Civil Society as a Medium for Social Change”. The event featured renowned speakers: Prof. Dr. Farhan Essa Abdullah, Rizwan Jaffar, and Samad Abbas, who shared their perspectives on how civil society organisations can drive meaningful transformation. The panellists discussed the importance of advocacy, community engagement, and education in shaping policies and addressing social challenges. The session concluded with an engaging Q&A, inspiring students and faculty to explore the impact of collective action.
