A proud moment for Ziauddin University!
We are delighted to announce that “AI-based, Culturally Sensitive Health Literacy (SRH) AR/VR-Assisted Chatbot for Adolescents in Pakistan,” presented as Umeeda, has secured 3rd Prize at SIMVENTION 2026, the Health-Tech Innovation Showcase held at the Center for Innovation in Medical Education (CIME), Aga Khan University Hospital.
The project was developed by Engr. Mahjabeen Alvina under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Fahad Azim.
Umeeda brings together Artificial Intelligence, health literacy, cultural sensitivity, and AR/VR-assisted learning to explore a more accessible and private way of providing adolescents with reliable information about sensitive health topics.
This achievement reflects the creativity, technical skills, and commitment of our students and faculty toward developing meaningful solutions at the intersection of Biomedical Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, and Healthcare.
