RADIOLOGICAL IMAGING
Radiological imaging technology focuses on the techniques and procedures involved in creating medical images for diagnosing diseases. Radiologic technologists are trained to conduct procedures like ultrasound, X-rays, CT scans, and MRIs. They learn about anatomy, patient positioning, radiation protection, and radiographic exposure.
Radiologic technologists play a crucial role in ensuring the quality of diagnostic images, which are vital for accurate and timely diagnosis. Career opportunities are available in radiology departments of hospitals, diagnostic imaging centres, and field hospitals.
Clinical Training
Students receive hands-on training at Dr Ziauddin Hospital, guided by experienced technologists. They learn to perform X-rays, MRIs, CT scans, mammographies, and ultrasounds. These clinical trainings are conducted after each semester’s examination, continuing until the final year of the programme.
