Programme Learning Outcomes (PLO)

By the end of this programme, graduates will be able to:

  • PLO 1 (Scientific Foundations): Apply advanced anatomical, physiological, and acoustic principles of the auditory system to clinical scenarios.
  • PLO 2 (Advanced Assessment): Perform, analyse, and interpret complex clinical audiological and electrophysiological evaluations across the lifespan.
  • PLO 3 (Technology Integration): Select, verify, validate, and troubleshoot digital hearing aids and assistive listening technologies.
  • PLO 4 (Implant Management): Conduct pre-implant candidacy evaluations, perform implant programming (mapping), and troubleshoot cochlear and auditory implants.
  • PLO 5 (Pediatric Specialisation): Implement age-appropriate pediatric assessment protocols and design early intervention plans.
  • PLO 6 (Rehabilitative Design): Create and execute multifaceted aural rehabilitation programmes focusing on speech perception and communication strategies.
  • PLO 7 (Alternative Communication): Integrate Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) systems for hearing-impaired clients with complex or comorbid needs.
