Clinical Laboratory Science professionals play a very important role in healthcare. They help doctors find issues with patients through different lab tests. These tests give doctors the correct information they need to treat patients properly. To do this job, lab professionals need to understand medical science well, be good at solving problems, and stay calm even when things get busy.
The BS in Medical Technology (Clinical Laboratory Sciences) program helps students learn all these skills. The course includes fun and helpful activities like interactive lectures, group discussions, hands-on practice in labs, regular tests to check skills, and real-life hospital experience.Â
Clinical Training
Students first start practicing in simulation labs. These labs provide real time experience of hospital labs. In this environment, students can learn to perform and excel in various required techniques that serve as units of complex clinical tests. They practice using human blood and urine samples to learn blood typing, blood clotting and measurement of numbers of blood cells using hands-on and mechanized methods. These sessions prepare students to work in actual clinical environment.
Students are placed in regular observerships for converting their learned skills into their application.Â
