CARDIOVASCULAR SCIENCES
Cardiovascular Sciences is the study of the heart and vascular system, focusing on cardiac pathologies and diagnostic procedures. Students gain exposure to both invasive and non-invasive cardiac techniques, including Exercise Tolerance Tests (ETT), cardiac catheterisation procedures such as angiography and angioplasty, and more. This dynamic and evolving field opens doors to diverse educational and professional opportunities alongside interventional cardiologists, cardiologists, and specialists in echocardiography and electrophysiology.

Clinical Observership & Skills Training
Students participate in structured observerships at Dr. Ziauddin Hospitals, where they are immersed in real-world cardiac care environments under the guidance of skilled cardiac physicians and technologists. These experiences enable students to closely observe procedures like exercise tolerance testing, cardiac catheterisation, echocardiography, device follow-ups, ambulatory blood pressure monitoring, and ECG/event loop monitoring.
Periodic integration of these clinical observerships ensures that students gain valuable clinical insight which helps students in correlating theoretical knowledge with clinical practices. This helps them prepare better for clinical services, postgraduate education and academics.Â
