Bachelor of Laws (LL.B. Hons.)
The Bachelor of Laws (LL.B. Hons.) is a five-year undergraduate program designed to provide students with a comprehensive understanding of legal principles, judicial systems, and legislative frameworks. The curriculum, recognized by the Pakistan Bar Council and HEC, equips students with both theoretical knowledge and practical legal skills. Through a structured program spanning ten semesters, students explore core subjects, legal research, and case analysis while gaining exposure to real-world legal scenarios. This degree prepares individuals for diverse roles in law, advocacy, and policymaking, fostering critical thinking, ethical reasoning, and a deep understanding of justice in a globalized world.
LL.B. programme is divided into five academic years; each year comprises a number of modules related to subject-specific information, in accordance with PAKISTAN BAR COUNCIL and HEC recognised curriculum.

Learning Objectives
To Inculcate in students a broad understanding of the social, political and economic contexts within which the Pakistani and global legal system operates.
To Equip students with knowledge and understanding of the fundamental doctrines of Law.
Eligibility/ Pre-requisite for admission: FA/ FSc/ A-levels
Admission to Ziauddin Faculty of Law, Politics & Governance, for a five years LL.B.(Hons.) the degree programme is open to all individuals who meet the selection criteria. Given the Government’s recent decision to pass all Matric/Intermediate students, applications are accepted but are subjected to, passing of LAT (conducted by HEC) and interview conducted by the Ziauddin University.
Selection of students is on the basis of an admission policy approved by the Governing Body of Ziauddin University, which is in line with the regulations of Pakistan Bar Council and HEC.
An LL.B. (Hons.) degree opens doors to diverse career opportunities in the legal and corporate sectors. Graduates can pursue careers as lawyers, judges, legal consultants, corporate advisors, human rights advocates, and policymakers. They can work in law firms, judiciary, government agencies, multinational corporations, and NGOs. Opportunities also exist in academia, legal research, and legislative drafting. With further specialization, graduates can advance into fields like international law, intellectual property law, or arbitration. The degree also serves as a foundation for higher studies, such as an LL.M. or a Ph.D. in Law, enhancing prospects for leadership roles in the legal profession.
Graduates of the LL.B. (Hons.) program will develop a strong foundation in legal principles, including constitutional, civil, criminal, and corporate law. They will gain expertise in legal research, argumentation, and case analysis, preparing them to interpret and apply legal doctrines effectively. The program fosters critical thinking, problem-solving, and advocacy skills, enabling students to engage in legal debates and policymaking. Additionally, graduates will be equipped to navigate ethical dilemmas in the legal profession, uphold justice, and contribute to legal reforms. Practical experience, including internships and moot court sessions, ensures that students graduate with real-world legal competencies.

The University reserves the right to increase the fees if required according to the recommendation of the Governing Body.
Advance fees to be paid semester-wise. All dues need to be cleared within two weeks of commencement of the academic year. 2% surcharge per month will be levied on outstanding fees after the due date.
