The “Training of Trainers (ToT) – Business Process Mapping” workshop was held by the esteemed
Mr. Imranulla Shariff from Pakistan Institute of Quality Control (PIQC) at Ziauddin University on
20th November 2025. This full-day session provided participants from various departments at
Ziauddin University with the skills to visualize workflows, identify inefficiencies, and redesign
processes for improved efficiency and quality.
The course covered key concepts such as process identification, mapping techniques
(flowcharts, SIPOC, swim lane diagrams), analyzing process gaps, and using maps to support
decision-making and improvement initiatives.
Through practical examples and hands-on exercises, participants learned to create accurate
process maps, highlight non-value-added activities, and support teams in achieving streamlined
and standardized operations.
