The Community Dentistry Department of Ziauddin College of Dentistry, Ziauddin University, conducted an extensive oral health outreach programme on 12 November 2025 for students from Pre-Nursery to Grade II at Happy Home School Clifton Campus. It was aimed at building strong foundations for lifelong oral hygiene. Throughout the session, the children received engaging oral health education that introduced them to the importance of brushing twice daily, using the proper brushing technique, making healthy food choices, and understanding how cavities develop and can be prevented. To make learning fun and memorable, the team presented colourful, age-appropriate educational videos that captured students’ attention and reinforced the importance of maintaining clean teeth and developing healthy habits at an early age.

The programme was held under the supervision of Professor Dr. Sidra Mohiuddin, supported by her dedicated team members, Dr. Yousra Altaf, Dr. Ammarah Mohammad Nauman, and Dr. Maryam Panhwar, who interacted warmly with the students and answered their questions with enthusiasm. The children participated actively and showed great interest in learning about oral care. To appreciate their involvement and encourage consistent hygiene practices, the session concluded with the distribution of goodie bags, leaving the students excited and motivated to take better care of their teeth.

The outreach programme was a successful initiative by the Community Dentistry Department of Ziauddin University. By raising awareness at an early age, the programme aims to foster lifelong oral hygiene habits among children. The efforts of the Community Dentistry Department contributed significantly to spreading meaningful health education within the community.
