The Office of Research, Innovation, and Commercialization (ORIC) at Ziauddin University recently organised a stakeholder meeting with representatives from the Small and Medium Enterprises Development Authority (SMEDA) and the community women of Shireen Jinnah Colony as part of its Financial Literacy Project. The initiative aims to empower women in underprivileged areas by equipping them with essential financial knowledge and entrepreneurial skills. During the meeting, SMEDA outlined strategies for sustainable economic growth, while the women shared their challenges and aspirations, fostering an inclusive dialogue. This collaboration highlights ORIC’s commitment to bridging the gap between institutional support and community development, ensuring impactful and long-lasting outcomes for women’s economic empowerment in marginalised communities.
