Welcome to the Diploma in Healthcare Management programme at Ziauddin University. Our vision is to revolutionise healthcare through a structured programme focusing on management, research, education, systems improvement, training, and development. Our mission is to inculcate managerial competencies in healthcare professionals, keeping them abreast of the changing global scenario. Our objectives include providing a core curriculum that covers essential knowledge and skills in management and administration, problem-solving, data evaluation, and assessment. We emphasise the application of computer technology in health information and foster interdisciplinary learning to understand the correlations between management, finance, and IT in healthcare. Additionally, we prioritise the development of professional ethics in health system management to ensure effective interactions with care providers, administrators, patients, and their families. Join us to gain the necessary expertise and contribute to the advancement of healthcare.

- A student should undertake 4 courses per semester
- Saturdays (2 pm to 9 pm) and Sundays (10 am to 5 pm)
- Bachelor’s degree from HEC recognised educational institution in Medicine and Allied (nursing, pharmacy, biomedical engineering, etc.)
- Sixteen years of schooling or 4 years of education (124 credit hours) after HSSC/FSc/Grade 12 equivalentÂ

After successful completion of the programme, the participants will be able to:
- Analyse contemporary healthcare systems
- Incorporate research as a mandatory tool for learning and sharing new information
- Use a scientific and evidence-based approach for the provision of quality healthcare, which is efficient and cost-effective.
- Apply epidemiological and statistical concepts for better planning and management of health-related issues.
- Apply principles of financial management, allocation of resources, priority setting and decision making.
- Demonstrate use of health information systems and technology for effective management of healthcare organisations.
- Market healthcare services, focusing on consumer behaviour and needs.
- Apply concepts of human resource management in order to optimise performance.
