The Department of Research, in collaboration with the College of Molecular Medicine, successfully organized a One-Day Hands-on Workshop titled “Exploring ELISA in Research: From Principle to Practice” on October 29, 2025, at MDRL, Ziauddin University, Clifton Campus.
The workshop was conducted under the guidance of Program Director, Prof. Dr. Talat Mirza. Mr. Moazzam Ali Shahid serving as Chief Organizer, overseeing coordination and execution. The session was facilitated by Dr. Rehan Imad , who provided valuable insights and practical training on the use of ELISA. Ms. Saba Farooq supported in coordination and administrative arrangements. A total of 32 participants from various institutes across Karachi attended the workshop. Participants gained an in-depth understanding of immunoassay principles, sample processing techniques (including serum, saliva, and tissue). The hands-on component enabled attendees to enhance their practical skills and understanding of assay design and execution.
The workshop attracted undergraduate and postgraduate students, as well as researchers, who showed keen interest in applying immunoassay techniques to their respective research projects.
