Workshop by College of Medical Technology

As the world of technology progresses, numerous innovations have entered the field of healthcare. This is essential as medical technology often provides equipment that delivers solutions to diseases and ailments that were once incurable or hard to treat. Among the many innovations of medical technology, radiological imaging and ultrasonography are tools that seem to be reigning on an international level. This is because ultrasound is very easy, useful, and a firsthand modality to diagnose any gross pathologies. For instance, in an emergency setting when patients arrive, an emergency doctor can perform the ultrasound of acute development to rule out any liver disease, cholestasis, pancreatitis, or bowel obstruction within a minute’s time. Most importantly, the procedure is painless, it is safer than X-rays or CT scans since radiation isn’t involved, and it is a less expensive method of diagnosis.

Drama (ON) Line organized by LUMS

Recently our dramatics club participated in an online drama competition, Drama(ON)Line organized by LUMS. Below are the highlights for the official rehearsals and video shoot of the drama entry that was sent for the competition.

ZU signed MoU with Oxfam Pakistan on Gender Edutainment

Mr Omer J Ghani, Program Specialist HEDP, R&D Division, HEC and Secretary of PM’s Startup Pakistan Program visited Ziauddin University on 28th October 2020 on the invitation of Director ORIC. He met with the Vice-Chancellor, the Registrar and Director ORIC and later he was briefed on the research & innovation at Ziauddin University by the ORIC team.

Directorate of Educational Development (DED) strives to provide conducive learning environment across ZU via opportunities for all the faculties to nurture their teaching roles. We aim to empower ZU teachers by providing structured program to help prepare themselves with the necessary knowledge & skills required to undertake their TEACHING ROLES effectively; seek quality improvement of the ZU Q-bank via conducting regular peer review of questions with content experts; foster scholarship in educational research across all ZU disciplines.
