The College of Molecular Medicine, Ziauddin University, continues to accelerate molecular medicine learning activities by creating opportunities that connect academic knowledge with real-world applications and future innovation pathways. As part of this vision, an educational visit was organized to Plant Life Laboratory, Gulzar-e-Hijri, near Dow University Karachi, providing students with practical exposure and firsthand experience in a plant tissue culture laboratory environment.

The visit was facilitated by Prof. Ambrina Khatoon and Mr. Moazzam Ali Shahid, accompanied by students of Batch 2 as part of their experiential learning activities. Students observed plant tissue culture techniques across different plant species and explored modern biotechnology practices shaping research and industry.

An insightful session by Plant Life CEO, Mr. Shariq Hassan, further highlighted the impact of plant tissue culture in research, commercialization, and emerging opportunities for developing feasible business ideas and sustainable biotechnology-based business models for the future.
