Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) is a five-year semester-based graduate degree programme recognised by HEC. It is offered concurrently at three distinct locations: Karachi Campus (North Campus, Boat Basin Campus, and Education City). Â
To serve mankind, we aim to prepare graduates of Doctor of Physical Therapy as professionals committed to excellence in patient care, equipped with innovative approaches compatible with the evolution of the health profession. These physiotherapy practitioners will be the future leaders in their field, practicing autonomously with an ethical approach, supported by research, critical thinking, and lifelong learning.

The university conducts an Aptitude Test for all eligible candidates. The test consists of Multiple Choice Questions of various types. The test comprises four to five sections designed to assess each applicant’s performance in the areas of:
The level of questions in sections of Biology, Physics, Mathematics and Chemistry correspond to that expected at the end of Matric & Intermediate Examination or equivalent qualifications.Â
Applicants are interviewed to assess their suitability to complete the respective course and pursue a career in health sciences.Â
University will inform successful applicants and a deadline will be given for the confirmation of admission. Offers not accepted by the given deadline will be cancelled.Â

With the growing advancements and awareness about physical therapy, the need for physical therapists immensely increased in various sectors, both nationally and internationally. After completion of the degree, the graduate can practise independently or work in hospitals, rehabilitation centres, sports clubs, and fitness centres, or may serve in the military as a physical therapist. They can also pursue their careers in different distinguished domains as per their interest and can step up in the world of academia and research.Â

PLO-03: Evidence-Based Practice: Plan and apply evidence-based physical therapy interventions to address the physical, cognitive, psychosocial, sensory, and other aspects of performance in various contexts and environments.
PLO-04: Community-Based Rehabilitation: Promote inclusion in society and design and implement meaningful community-based rehabilitation projects to initiate and sustain the integration of services into health care services.
PLO-05: Ethics and Moral Values: Uphold the profession’s ethical standards, values, and attitudes. Produce graduates with a strong sense of social justice and the capability and desire to be global professionals by applying ethical principles.
PLO-06: Environment and Sustainability: Implement environmentally sustainable solutions within the context of healthcare practice.
PLO-07: Teamwork: Integrate and work professionally as an individual or part of a multidisciplinary team of rehab professionals, other healthcare providers, and caretakers.
PLO-08: Communication Skills: Communicate in a commendable manner, orally as well as in writing, on complex field-related problems with the rehab community and with society at large, such as being able to comprehend and write effective reports and design documentation, make an effective modification, and give and receive clear instructions.
