At Ziauddin University, we understand how essential extracurricular activities are to keep the student body motivated. Keeping this in mind, a Bike-a-thon was organised on Sunday, 14th of February 2021 by the Office of Student Affairs Ziauddin University and the Welfare AID. The fundraiser event was conducted to celebrate Ziauddin University’s 25th Anniversary and aimed to raise awareness about heart health and collect money for the underprivileged patients of the Dr. Ziauddin Hospital, Kemari.
To kickstart the Bike-a-thon, students and faculty members of Ziauddin University gathered at the institute’s Clifton Campus from where the participants started their journey on bicycles. The route ended at McDonald’s Seaview where everyone gathered to take some fun photos and munch on refreshments.
Overall, the event was a success since not only did it provide students with entertainment and a healthy activity, but it was also conducted keeping in mind all the necessary SOPS recommended by the Government of Pakistan regarding COVID-19. There was also ample security present, as well as an ambulance that followed the participants throughout the route in case any student was injured during the event.
