MS Healthcare Management

The MS Healthcare Management programme at Ziauddin University equips healthcare professionals with essential managerial competencies to excel in the global healthcare landscape. We offer a comprehensive curriculum covering management principles, problem-solving, data evaluation, and health information technology. Through interdisciplinary courses and exposure to healthcare facilities, students gain insights into the correlation between management, finance, and IT in healthcare. We emphasise professional ethics, fostering effective interactions with care providers, administrators, and patients. Our mission is to develop healthcare leaders capable of managing, researching, educating, and improving healthcare systems. Hospital administrators, medical directors, doctors, nurses, pharmacists, and NGO personnel are encouraged to apply. Our programme offers flexible scheduling with classes held on weekends. Choose between our thesis-based or course-based streams and revolutionise healthcare through management expertise. 

Who Should Apply?

Hospital Administrators, Medical Directors, Unit Head of Hospitals, Doctors, Dentists, Nurses, Health Technicians, Pharmacists, Doctors in Public Sector Health System and NGO Personnel. 

Timing & Modus Operandi
  • A student should undertake 4 courses per semester
  • Saturdays (2 pm to 9 pm) and Sundays (10 am to 5 pm)
  • Two streams: thesis-based/course-based
  • The applicant must have a Bachelor’s degree from an HEC recognised educational institution in Medicine and Allied (nursing, pharmacy, biomedical engineering, etc.)
  • Sixteen years of schooling or 4 year education (124 credit hours) after HSSC/FSc/Grade 12 or equivalent will be required for admission in the MS programme.
Selection Process
  1. An entrance test (GAT General) comprising 35% Verbal Reasoning + 30% Qualitative Reasoning + 35% Analytical Reasoning to be conducted by the University.
  2. NTS (GAT General) with a maximum validity of 2 years is also acceptable.
  3. Shortlisted candidates will be interviewed for final selection.

  2. Incorporate research as a mandatory tool for learning and sharing new information.
  3. Use scientific and evidence-based approaches for the provision of quality healthcare, which is efficient and cost-effective.
  4. Apply epidemiological and statistical concepts for better planning and management of health-related issues.
  5. Apply principles of financial management, allocation of resources, priority setting and decision-making.
  6. Demonstrate use of health information systems and technology for effective management of healthcare organisations.
  7. Market healthcare services focusing on consumer behaviour and needs.
  8. Apply concepts of human resource management in order to optimise performance.
  9. Effectively manage healthcare systems at different levels of care to achieve organisational.
