Guitar for Beginners (On Campus)

The guitar has a special place in modern music. It remains one of the favorite instruments among the young, inspiring countless generations of performers and rock stars. Many want to learn how to play the guitar but are too intimidated. Many pick it up only to find it too difficult and boring. However, learning the guitar can be great fun if approached properly.

This course is designed to take the beginner from the very basics, emphasizing the right techniques coupled with conceptual understanding. The sessions would include not only lessons and practice but would also encourage jamming and collaborative learning where everyone would be able to learn from everyone else.

After successful completion of the course, the students will be able to comfortably play the basic rhythms, expressive riffs and melodies of their favorite songs. The more adventurous ones can also try their hand at the basic composition of melodies and chord structures.
