Bachelor in Physical Education, Health and Sports Sciences (Four Years)

The primary aim of this programme is to produce broad base knowledge in the graduates to face the challenges of the modern world with a focus on physical activity, heath and performance. The graduates will be able to seek employment as an exercise specialist, fitness and wellness coordinator, sports performance analyst and researcher, strength and conditioning specialist. These practitioners will be the future leaders in their field equipped with ethical approach to practice along a strong research base, critical thinking and lifelong learning.

Programme Objectives
  1. To Integrate and apply current basic science, applied science with professional knowledge of physical education, health and exercise science.
  2. To provide knowledge for better health, fitness and sports sciences.
  3. To develop self–directed learners, competent clinical decision makers and independent practitioners in the field of sports sciences.
  4. To promote planning and designing of individualized exercise and sports for health.
  5. To understand, critically evaluate, and apply scientific research in the field of sports.
  6. To respond sensitively to the diverse health care needs of fitness clients, patients, care–givers, and society.
  7. To acquire and sustain the confidence of the patients, care–givers, colleagues, and community members by demonstrating high level of competence, accountability, ethical standards, and moral behaviors.
  8. To contribute in the evolution of profession and its role in the health care sector with emphasis on the promotion of health and wellness in the community.
Learning Outcomes
At the end of the programme, student will be able to:
  1. Utilize fundamental knowledge of exercise physiology, biomechanics & motor learning to address health, fitness, and sport.
  2. Design and implement exercise regimens using appropriate methods, techniques, and exercises.
  3. Assess and evaluate physical health and needs of diverse populations.
  4. Social, and cultural factors that influence physical health and wellbeing and incorporate this knowledge into culturally relevant health & fitness plans.
  5. Utilize a wide variety of physical health equipment and technology to promote physical health & wellbeing as well as rehabilitation from injury.

Physical Education, Health and Sports Sciences is a Four-Year semester based degree programme which is open to all science stream F.S.C (Pre-Medical/Pre Engineering), F.A, I.Com students with minimum 45% marks from an accredited institution in Pakistan or equivalent to international standards. Therefore, candidates with O/A Levels must acquire equivalency before taking admission. All candidates are selected on merit, according to the following criteria:

  1.   SSC Marks
  2.   HSC Marks
  3.   Entrance Test Marks
  4.   Interview

         The course is offered at the Clifton Location.

Students graduating from the Physical Education, Health & Sports Sciences have a widespread career prospect and after the successful completion of their course, they will be able to seek employment as exercise specialists, fitness and wellness coordinators, sport performance researchers, and strength and conditioning specialists. Moreover, graduates would be able to enter professional graduate programs in exercise sciences and other fields, such as biomechanics, exercise physiology, and motor behavior.

SUPERVISED COACHING AND TRAINING

Students of Ziauddin College of Rehabilitation Sciences have an exclusive advantage to be a part of an organization with a large setup of a Sports Complex. Sports training are an efficient means to enhance both the academic and practical skills that prepare athletes for the upcoming competitions and seasons by polishing their physical skills and boosting their performance. The professional trainers use verified training techniques and innovative workout routines to asset the needs of individual players. Moreover, Students in their 3rd and 4th professional years are also sent to different sports training academies and clubs to enhance their capabilities.

On receiving offer of admission from University, students are expected to deposit the required (non-refundable) admission and tuition fees within the due date mentioned in the offer letter. If the required fee is not submitted within the specified date the admission will stand cancelled.
Note: Any additional taxes imposed by the government will be the liability of the students/parents/guardian.
The University reserves the right to increase the fees if required according to the recommendation of the Governing Body.
Advance fees to be paid semester-wise. All dues need to be cleared within two weeks of commencement of the academic year. 2% surcharge per month will be levied on outstanding fees after the due date.
