Azadi Sports Gala Season 2

The Ziauddin University Sports Department hosted a remarkable sports event from August 19th to 28th, 2024, spanning across three ZU campuses. The gala showcased an impressive turnout of over 400 athletes from ten different colleges and departments.

A memorable Qawali Night

On 12th October 2024, students and faculty of Ziauddin College of Physical Therapy, Ziauddin University Sukkur Campus, came together for a memorable Qawali Night after a busy semester and exhausting exams. The event, organised by Ziauddin University, provided a refreshing break filled with soulful music, delicious dinner, and tea. It was a much-needed evening of relaxation, fun, and camaraderie for everyone involved. 

World Podiatry Day with a Poster Competition

On 8th October 2024, Ziauddin College of Podiatric Medicine celebrated World Podiatry Day with a poster competition focused on diabetic foot complications and the significance of podiatric care. Students presented insightful posters, fostering community awareness on foot health’s role in diabetes management. The college thanks all participants for supporting this impactful cause.   

Panel Discussion: The Role of Civil Society in Driving Social Change

On 19th September 2024, the Faculty of Liberal Arts and Human Sciences hosted a panel discussion titled “The Role of Civil Society as a Medium for Social Change”. The event featured renowned speakers: Prof. Dr. Farhan Essa Abdullah, Rizwan Jaffar, and Samad Abbas, who shared their perspectives on how civil society organisations can drive meaningful transformation. The panellists discussed the importance of advocacy, community engagement, and education in shaping policies and addressing social challenges. The session concluded with an engaging Q&A, inspiring students and faculty to explore the impact of collective action.

Panel Discussion

A panel discussion on the topic ‘The Role of Civil Society as a Medium for Social Change’ with the spotlight on the youth of Pakistan was conducted on 19th September 2024. The agenda was to prepare the future generation for a better, prosperous and strengthened future of Pakistan, to evoke the sense of responsibility in them, and to use their potential for capacity building and sense of order in the civil society. The industry experts from diverse fields, like Mr. Rizwan Jaffar Founder and Chairman Youth Parliament, Prof Dr. Farhan Abdulla Essa (President Pakistan US Alumni Network) and Samad Abbas Global Soft skills coach, keynote speaker, were the esteemed panellists. It was moderated by CLLC faculty of English Ms. Saba Tanveer. 

Echoes of Faith: Rabi-ul-Awal Reflections

The College of Speech Language and Hearing Sciences warmly celebrated the spirit of Rabi-ul-Awal on 16.09.24 with heartfelt speeches, recitations, and reflections. The event brought students and faculty together in a beautiful expression of faith, unity, and gratitude. 

Aga Khan MOU Signing

ZU-CLLC (Ziauddin University – College of Languages, Literature, and Culture) and AKU-IED (Aga Khan University – Institute for Educational Development) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on 12th September 2024; the agreement established a partnership to foster cooperation in areas of mutual interest, while safeguarding the autonomy of both institutions.

Celebrated World Physical Therapy Day

On September 10th, 2024, Ziauddin College of Physical Therapy (ZCPT) at Ziauddin University Sukkur Campus celebrated World Physical Therapy Day with a poster exhibition and fun mela. Following the 2024 theme of “Low Back Pain,” students showcased various posters highlighting the prevalence, causes, treatment options, and global advancements in curing low back pain. Their efforts were praised by the Principal of ZCPT, Dr. Muhammad Usman Khan, along with esteemed guests Dr. Ayesha Aman (Gynaecologist) and Dr. Kamil Ziad (DMS, DZH Sukkur). The event concluded with a cake-cutting ceremony and a lively fun mela, where students organised engaging activities like charades, song dedications, and games, accompanied by delicious food stalls, making it a memorable celebration.
