BDS Endodontics Workshop
The BDS Student Council, in collaboration with the Department of Operative Dentistry, Ziauddin University, successfully organised a comprehensive Hands-on Rotary Endodontics Workshop, held on Saturday, 12th July 2025.
The workshop commenced with an insightful lecture delivered by the esteemed Head of Department, Dr. Asmat Jameel, followed by a live clinical demonstration broadcast for enhanced visibility and understanding.
Participants were then divided into small groups for personalised, hands-on training under the expert supervision of the facilitators Dr. Pooja Balani, Dr. Areesha Khan, Dr. Mah laqa Maroof, Dr. Saima Mushtaque, and Dr. Asmat Jameel.
The workshop concluded with the distribution of certificates, marking a valuable and enriching learning experience for all attendees.
PPIE Cordinator
1 July 2025. Our PPIE Coordinator, Dr Arishay Hussaini, was invited to participate in a panel discussion on Patient and Public Involvement and Engagement (PPIE) at the PSI Conference at Oxford.
Audiology Workshop
Ziauddin University’s College of Speech Language and Hearing Sciences successfully conducted the Intensive Audiology Workshop from July 10 to 16, 2025, featuring international trainers. Covering advanced techniques such as ABR, AEP, and cochlear implants, the workshop reinforced the university’s commitment to clinical excellence and its role in equipping professionals with essential skills for modern audiological care.
1st Counsellor Connect Symposium
Ziauddin University proudly hosted its 1st Annual Counsellor Symposium 2025 — a platform that brought together educators, counsellors, and changemakers to discuss the evolving role of guidance in shaping tomorrow’s minds. Here’s to building stronger bridges between institutions and students.
Workshop
Ziauddin College of Molecular Medicine & Department of Research successfully conducted a two-day certified hands-on workshop on “Basic and Advanced Histological Techniques for Human Disease Models in Animals” on 25–26 June 2025. Participants, including researchers, faculty, and postgraduate students, gained practical experience in advanced histological and immunohistochemical techniques. The sessions were led by expert facilitators and featured interactive discussions, lab demonstrations, and experimental modules focused on disease models in animals. The event concluded with certificate distribution and positive feedback, reinforcing Ziauddin University’s commitment to research excellence and skill development in biomedical sciences.

Dr. Muhammad Usman Khan, Assistant Professor and Principal, ZCPT, ZU Sukkur campus was invited as a Guest of Honour at the Certificate in Manipulation Techniques for Spine and Peripheral Joints workshop held on Sunday, 22nd June 2025, at Sukkur Press Club.
He highlighted key challenges in the physiotherapy field, emphasised the significance of manual therapy, and encouraged fresh graduates to stay passionate and committed to clinical excellence.
National Conference Tackling Malnutrition Issue in Sindh, Larkana
On June 21st, 2025, Dr Muhammad Usman Khan PT, Principal and Assistant Professor, was invited as a Guest of Honour and represented Ziauddin University Sukkur Campus at the “National Conference Tackling Malnutrition Issue in Sindh” at Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto Medical University Larkana along with Dr Imran Farooq (Manager Academics, Dept of Public Health) and Dr Irfan Jagirani (Sr Lecturer ZCPT). “Dr. Imran also delivered a case study. Previously, Ziauddin University Sukkur has also hosted one debate competition and one conference on the same issue where students of DPT participated.
