Sindhi Culture Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm at the Ziauddin College of Physical Therapy, Ziauddin University Sukkur Campus, showcasing the vibrant traditions and rich heritage of Sindh. Students, faculty, and staff dressed in colourful Ajraks and Sindhi Topis, symbolising unity and pride in their cultural identity. The event featured traditional music, dance performances, and a variety of cultural exhibits, reflecting the essence of Sindhi art, history, and craftsmanship. Attendees enjoyed authentic Sindhi cuisine and participated in interactive sessions to learn more about the significance of Sindhi culture. The celebration fostered a sense of community and highlighted the importance of preserving and cherishing local traditions in an academic setting.

The LOK SAHAITA Marathon 2025 is scheduled to take place in Sukkur, promoting health, resilience, and community engagement through sport and physical activity.
2nd LOK SAHAITA Hope Marathon 2025
Ziauddin University and Hospital actively participated in the 2nd Lok Sahaita Hope Run 2025 by establishing a fully equipped medical and physiotherapy camp to ensure the health and safety of participants. The multidisciplinary healthcare team provided on-site medical and physiotherapy services to more than 200 athletes, managing muscle cramps, minor injuries, dehydration, and other exercise-related conditions. Physiotherapy services were delivered by both male and female physiotherapists under the supervision of Consultant Physical Therapist Dr. Muhammad Usman Khan, along with Dr. Atta and Dr. Farkhunda Feroz, ensuring inclusive and comprehensive care for all participants. Medical services were led by Physician Dr. Abdullah, with strong administrative support from Additional Registrar Mr. Muhammad Hussain Khurasany. The nursing care was efficiently managed by Ms. Farhana, while the Marketing Department played an active role in coordination and outreach. This initiative highlights Ziauddin University and Hospital’s commitment to community well-being, preventive healthcare, and the promotion of a healthy and active lifestyle.

MPhil Orientation 2026 Sukkur
n Orientation Day for the MPhil in Physical Therapy was successfully conducted at the Ziauddin College of Physical Therapy (ZCPT), Sukkur Campus. This newly launched postgraduate programme by Ziauddin University is duly approved by the Higher Education Commission (HEC) and represents a major milestone in advancing higher education and research in physical therapy within the region. The ceremony was hosted by Dr. Rabia Mehboob, MPhil Coordinator. During the orientation, Dr. Muhammad Usman Khan, Principal ZCPT Sukkur Campus, addressed the incoming students and encouraged them to make the most of this academic opportunity. He elaborated on how the MPhil programme will enhance their advanced clinical competencies, research capabilities, and professional growth, enabling them to contribute meaningfully to healthcare and academia.

Ziauddin University’s ORIC department, in collaboration with CPSP and ACCME, successfully conducted the rigorous pre-conference workshop “From Classroom to Scholarship: A Faculty Development Workshop on Qualitative Research Skills” on 16th January.The session focused on strengthening qualitative research skills among faculty through expert-led facilitation and interactive scholarly engagement.
