Dr. Shabbir’s remarkable oral presentation showcased her extensive work in collaboration with her esteemed supervisory team, which included Prof. Talat Mirza, Dr. Ambrina Khatoon & Prof. Zaigham Abbas from the Research, Molecular Medicine and Gastroenterology Departments at Ziauddin University, Karachi. This pioneering research marks a significant milestone as it represents the first-ever study of its kind, employing cutting-edge Whole Exome Sequencing technology to uncover pathogenic variants related to fatty liver within the Pakistani population. We are also proud to announce that Dr. Shabbir has received an invitation to present her research at ABRCMS in Phoenix, Arizona, further underscoring the excellence and relevance of her work on a global scale.
