Message from the Vice-Chancellor

Ziauddin University has made great progress over the last 25 years because of its highly qualified faculty members and inspirational academic heads. Ziauddin University is now poised to provide transformational leadership in the development of industry, economy, and society.

As a general multi-disciplinary university, Ziauddin University is offering degree programmes in disciplines ranging across Medicine, Dentistry, Podiatry, Speech-Language Therapy, Physiotherapy/Rehabilitation, Pharmacy, Law, Engineering, Computer Science, Management, Liberal Arts, Education, Languages, Psychology, Media Sciences, Public Health etc. These are offered through 8 faculties and 11 colleges (as well as departments).
Our colleges are continuously reviewing and upgrading our curricula and pedagogy to meet the international standards of each discipline. This is then vetted through interactions with local and foreign industry professionals and academics. There is an aggressive process to review and improve the experiential learning and PBL experience of Problem-Based Learning and Project-Based Learning.
Students’ exposure to clinical rotations in hospitals, and to real-life problems and projects make their learning a challenging and worthwhile experience. QEC and ORIC are now moving from satisfying the Pakistani requirements to meeting the international accreditation requirements.

Ziauddin University aspires to be a prominent leader in the transformation of the economy, society, and industry of this city Karachi, especially this province and at large in Pakistan. This is being done through cutting-edge research, commercialization of research, and faculty engagement in public policy development, and consultancy projects. These engagements would lead to the creation of a significant impact on the national and international stage.
