BS Electrical Technology is a bachelors level four years degree programme which has raise its demand in technological fields not only in Pakistan but worldwide. Ziauddin University-Faculty of Engineering Science & Technology is offering BS evening program in Electrical Technology. The highly qualified faculty, state of art laboratories, reference and digital library shall provide the enabling environment for learning.

Evening program is launched to encourage and cater the youth who discontinued their higher studies for different reasons. This program shall provide an opportunity to them so that they may pursue their higher education without scarifying their current jobs and grow

more in their respective professions. The curriculum is fully aligned with HEC NCRC guidelines and ZUFEST is committed to ensure best teaching practices both in theory and practical.

Scope and opportunities

With CPEC coming in it is expected that human resource demand in technical areas shall rise. Huge market for Electricians and Electrical Technologist is forecasted with the emerging Industrial Units, Power Generation & Distribution Plants etc. After completing the BS-Electrical Technology graduates can:


To produce graduates that are technically skilful and competent to formulate, analyse and solve problems using appropriate engineering tools and techniques.

To produce effective and employable engineering graduates that successfully & ethically practice electrical engineering skills in related fields.

To produce graduates motivated for lifelong learning and create new knowledge and technical solution through cutting edge research and entrepreneurship.

To produce graduates with the capacity to work as effective team member and strong leadership qualities.


The scheme of study is spread over four years. The first three years comprise of major academic courses while the fourth year accommodates some academic courses followed by supervised industrial training of minimum 32 weeks. Industrial training shall be observed as are as follows:

The students shall undergo supervised industrial trainings (Minimum period of 32 weeks).

The students are required to submit monthly progress reports to the institute duly verified by their industrial supervisor. ZUFEST shall liaison fortnightly with all industrial supervisors to check the students’ performance

At the end of the training, the students are required to submit a detailed report to the institute and undergo viva voce examinations.
